How We Got StartedAnd where we are heading

2008 was still early days for embedded system multi-core processing. It also marks the year Michael Deubzer and Martin Hobelsberger were starting their research looking into multi-core scheduling and software architecture. Funded by Continental Automotive GmbH and the OTH Regensburg Technical University of Applied Sciences, the project focussed on model-driven design and simulation of the timing behavior of multi-core real-time systems. In the course of their research, Martin and Michael developed a promising software prototype. As a result, they decided to start a company, registering Timing-Architects Embedded Systems GmbH in 2011. The company’s first product, TA Simulator, was launched at the 2012 Embedded World trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany.

    In 2011, TA was awarded with the IKT Innovativ award for most promising business plan.

    Second product released: TA Optimizer. Company exhibits at the 2012 Embedded World trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany.

    TA goes global by adding Hyundai Motor Company to their client list. Korea-based MDS Technology Ltd becomes a sales partner.

  • 2014

    Prof. Dr. Martin Hobelsberger appointed professor at the University of Applied Sciences Munich.

  • 2014

    Two further products released: TA Designer and TA Inspector. TA Tool Suite is born.

  • 2015

    TA, Elektrobit, iSYSTEM and Infineon jointly organize what has become the annual Embedded Multi-Core Conference (EMCC), a platform for peer discussion and knowledge exchange.

    TA Tool Suite Extensions released, to boost the versatility of the company's flagship product.

  • 2015

    Supported by local sales partner Beijing Siener Electronics Ltd, the company enters the Chinese market.

  • 2015

    Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) includes Michael in their list of Germany's Top 10 innovators in the U35 category.

  • 2016

    The steadily growing number of employees necessitates moving the head office. New address: TechBase Regenburg.

  • 2016

    TA celebrates its 5th company anniversary.

  • 2016

    TA and Vector Informatik join forces to future-proof business objectives and increase the number of global sales partners.

    Staff numbers reach 50.
